I dream of being off the pace like that. A bit like dreaming of being able to climb as badly as Cav.

In my defence this was before the madison had finished and it didn't look great, but I think I was probably still wrong.
The comparative madison and team pursuit races were probably at the forefront of my mind, and I'd forgotten the men's silver in the team sprint.
As you were.

They showed some Chris Hoy Keirin wins and wouldn’t be in the picture now with the times he was doing. His were 10.5-10.7 seconds and Kenny was 9.5 today and loads below 10.0

But he was stuck on some normal bike not some fugly loopy Hope machine.

It's gonna be DAME LAURA KENNY!

Are Cav 4 SPOTY still.

Back then didn’t the derny wind up the pace higher, thus leaving them more fatigued for the final lap? I’m sure they are faster now, but it’s not directly comparable...

Also much bigger gears, I believe they were on 90 gear inches or so back in the day?

A belgian commentator was caught off guard by a recording mic, making unkind remarks about the sexual preference of the belgian female basketball players. Imo a groove patch wearing cunt.

I didn’t know this was a thing… is it widely used in cycling? Or is it mainly a weights thing?

Go early or go home 👍

Definitely heard this linked with Team GB track sprinting alongside voodoo like eccentric sprint training on an erg you pedal backwards on

Bit dusty after that Jason Kenny gold.

I listened to an interview with Jack Nowell (England rugby) saying when he was injured he was doing a bit of restriction training in his home gym and got told off by the team staff as it was getting him too big in the areas he was going (I assume arms) and not achieving much. Must work though I’ve never tried it

Its growing in popularity- amongst physios for rehab predominantly at the start.
Quite interesting. -

I've not read the article, but I'm going to assume it involves compression rings supplied by Doc Johnson

What on earth was Glaetzer doing?

That was an insane race.

This is why I use uncomfortable saddles.

The more they replay that crash from women's omnium, the more horrible things you see, one riders hand goes straight through the wheel rider of another rider , some how keeps their fingers to only get run over by another rider

^ not nice to see.
In other news I'll be glad to never see the Kenyan Athletics vest again. Trypophobia inducing design.

Don’t look at Kipchoge’s podium tracksuit
Elite athletes that are expected to win gold are on a different level. He says he is well off the pace, yet he won silver at the team sprint.
