• why "… without being a true MTB" by the way? My XC rig is fun. Probably the most used bike i have atm.

  • I want to be able to do more than just MTB stuff, like longer gravel rides. Having a bike that is for a single specific use doesn’t interest me.

  • I also like the idea of something like the Crust Bombora or Elephant NFE, but they’re not exactly easy to come by right now. Or even like this Kumo.

  • All these muddy rides have taken their toll on my rear brake pads. Time to order some salmon Kool Stops I think.

  • Finally bought some Kool Stops. Wish I installed them before this morning’s ride. Oh well. Was rewarded with this though.

  • they are very soft, which is either great or not so great depending - Next time get the cartidges at least it means you dont have to re-allign the pads

  • It’s all good. I’ve been using the Kool Stops on canti’s for a few years now. I know they stop at least. I don’t mind re-aligning the pads. I’ve gotten pretty good at it.
