i don't think the very long run of international matches without a century is doing anything to help an already bad attitude

It’s a shame. In the last series in England when we won 4-1, I was very impressed with Kohli’s attitude and dignity, seeing as how the series was much closer than the score line suggested. Since then he’s turned into a bit of an arsehole. He’s probably believing all the hype by the Indian media. He’s no Tendulkar, that’s for sure.

Definitely this. He is just moreso at the moment because of his run without a century, probably. ^ as theoj says, above.

England's fielding has got worse in the past couple of seasons, hasn't it?
-
• #10783
Yep.
If Anderson can clean up the tail for just one more run,
he'll get his best ever Test return 7/41.

Tail playing T20.
This is how it should be. Tail-enders getting out the long handle...

Yes, agreed. Frustrating for England though.

Couldn't disagree more about Kohli. I love him, a real run of bad form for sure but class is permanent and he's an incredible batsman, the kind of guy that you tune in to watch. Attitude wise, he's a warrior and is incredibly aggressive, always bringing the drama in the field or batting and there's nothing wrong with that, test cricket needs it. End of the day his spiky attitude is driven by the absolute desire to win and be the best, which his team does time and time and time again against everyone. Currently test cricket is under threat and to have probably the highest profile cricketer in the world living and dying by his desperation to be the best in test match cricket does the long format a huge amount of good.
Kohli should be judged as the leader of a great cricket team, not just as a batsman with a bit of arrogance. And for me he comes out right on top.

Definitely true. Superb to watch, immense talent, gritty battler, but I still think he’s an arse. I can separate the characteristics. I’d put him in a similar box to Ricky Ponting in that regard. (Different type of player, obviously)

Better than normal then.
He's always seemed an arrogant player for the couple of years he's been at the front of the sport...?
Maybe it's the goatee?
