My cycliq fly12 is big, heavy, butt ugly but I’d not ride without it. Got a link for that cam? Might fit one to the rear.

Thread hi-jack. I do need to find a better back drop for the pics. Hasn't cracked yet!
Needs a deeper rear rim and a smaller rear rotor when Hope get around to making 140s for road bikes.

Hope do a 140mm rear caliper now :)

• #281
I know, so I'm assuming rotors to match will follow!

Ah gotcha. They do 6 bolt ones with the wavey brake surface in 140 but yeah not the circular ones

750ml bidon? Are you going multi day touring?

50km across town to Hillingdon after work, 50km race, 30km home. BC dont allow barbags

Now we know why amey doesn’t race.

Is that another cage mount on the seatpost?
-
• #287
Think it might be a number holder or something? A cage and bottle wouldnt fit
-
• #288
Think it's for a transponder - seems like a super specific clamp to include on a production bike if it doesn't fit a bottle cage?!
-
• #289
The mounts are bottle cage spec/spacing but a bottle wouldn't fit! Does seem overly specific

The idea was originally a Stealth Black Frame with purple bits a la CAADbury 12. But I cannot get a flat mount front in purple for weeks.
Thread hi-jack.
Thank you for fulfilling this for me. It looks fabulous. 🤩
Glad it hasn't cracked ~yet~ ..... In all seriousness though, I'm 6ft 4 and 100KG (95 now, whoop!) and was definitely operating at the outer limits of both mass and seat post extension thus putting maximum strain on the seat clamp interface.
It was however a super quick and really nice handling bike and I did enjoy our brief love affair. But all good things must come to an end. With that said, the Sl7 is a much more suitable bike for me down here in the West Country lanes. 30c tyres are just a necessity, as is decent clearance. -

I'm glad you like it!
SL7 is lovely too

Details: https://www.strava.com/segments/18865877I've just relived it on street view. I feel out of breath.
It's a good climb in the fact it's a pretty constant gradient so you can get into a nice rhythm. And you get to go down zig-zag hill on the way back to Shaftesbury.

I never checked it out. Looks like a right fucker, especially if there's an oncoming tractor...

In SL7 news; it's going stealth.
I ordered these some time ago and they've finally come in. RX4+ brakes (after another 8 week wait - the original 8 week order was wrong and not the +20 160mm versions). Oh and some bar end bolts. Black chainring bolts should land tomorrow too.
Brakes needed bled anyway so why not change the calipers too whilst I'm at it eh? Will be re-hosed with BH90 now I can get some too and the Hope stuff used in a bodge is too flexible and not happy with the through headset routing. That and there is a leak somewhere.
So that means there will be lots of Blue Hope stuff for sale - @TotalShanner ;)

Ha! I dare not buy anymore rx4’s. I’ve still never got round to fitting rx4’s to the sl6. Been on the shelf for months and decided to sell them. But was given grief on the forum for daring to try get back what I paid for them 😂
Will either eBay them or keep until I can face taking the hoses out the sl6 again.
In other news, I’ve ended up in possession of a 1x Red axs group set. Slightly tempted to try 1x on the sl6 as I could put the group set on without removing the hoses.
But it’s quite hilly around here and the indignity of going 1x then immediately reverting back might be too much to bear.. -

SL7 I built for a friend, they really are lovely frames:

That's my task tomorrow. TBH the SL7 was comparatively a doddle compared to the Strada. Even the bars! Grip tape however can do one.

I saw the grief and laughed. Mine at £110 have sold 5 times over.
You should sell me the group with the brakes.... I really want one of these - Dura ace 1 X setup is uglllyyyyyyyy:

Like this! I really need to get some deeper rims. Looking good!
A GoPro has been purchased - thanks Amazon Warehouse sale! S-works frames come with the necessary mounts too, so happy days.
Actually had a pleasant ride yesterday where nobody attempted to off me. Was hot mind.
30c tyres are SOOOOOOO comfortable and offer much more confidence on rough downhills.
Shame with all the aero properties I've succumb to strapping a small brick to the front. Will have to ride in the drops for 5 extra seconds each ride now. Sigh.
