Fully support this. Could also boil gymnastics down to the multi one and make them do all the diving, too. Anything with somersaults.

Every potential competitor must do a double backflip on a BMX to enter the Olympics. From that point on, if they live, they're shot at by the archers while trying to kill other competitors with javelins and other throwing objects, bikes are used to escape or chase down and kill horses for food. Winner is last person standing.

New rule - every event to be scrapped except the decathlon. Switch out the throwing events which nobody likes for a bike race and, I dunno, watching them all try skateboarding might be fun.
