Yeah the ādefaultā Strat thing makes me itch. I grew up playing one with Lace Sensors though, because that was what I had access to, and I didnāt mind because I was into Smashing Pumpkins (prick thing checks out). They are very setup dependent with the trem though.
That Tokai looks great. Fender do a Mexican one in that colour at the moment that looks pretty decent.

@rickster will tell you, I bought this one sight unseen out of the back of Vintage Guitar magazine in '97/'98 from some guy in Japan... I was on a total Tokai jag at the time, this was way cheaper than a Springy Sound of the same era, which was what I really wanted... IIRC it was just over Ā£100, super cheap... They're still pretty cheap these days just not Ā£100 cheap...

I bloody love this one, it's an absolute joy to play every time I pick it up and it's so musical!! Tunes just leap out of it, bell like tones for days... The refret was a really good investment... Must be an advanced middle aged thing... #pleasekillme
