I think we’re all in danger of becoming a bit complacent about Covid here. I say this because we’re all taking about holiday and festivals and the like, and yet only last week my pal Keith came back from Standon Calling and tested positive. How many contacts did he have? Maybe 14,000?
And today I found out that a friend, aged 37 with two young children, who I saw at a pre-season football friendly only 10 days ago passed away yesterday from Covid. She was taken ill a week ago, and now she’s dead. 37 years old with two kids under the age of 10. Instead of going to the first game of the new season on Saturday they’ll be burying their mum.
This shit is still real.
Sorry. This has hit me hard. RIP Louise.
