Long time lurker, first time poster...
I've just got the Wald basket bag I ordered from Dan, well pleased with it. The quality is excellent, on a par with anything I've had from Restrap, Birzman etc... I'll definitely be ordering again soon.
Cheers Dan.

Apologies for the bad camerawork, the photos don't do it justice.

Rack bags are looking great. Are these a standard design or are they all custom? How much are you selling them for?
-
• #363
Cheers, this is the 'standard' design, the dimension of the basket/rack usually determine the cost, so the price varies. I do custom request (if feasible!). Here's another recently completed.

Nice one. I’ll chat to my wife (who is the one who wants one) and work out what dimensions would be most useful.

Here's me using the user71349 basket bag I normally use for commuting on tour. It was a bit small for my rack (wasn't designed for it, I think it's designed for a 137 wald which is how I normally use it) but there was extra lash points on the bottom to voile strap it in place and it served me very well. Cargo net was just there to give me place to tuck gloves etc in whilst riding.

What do you do with the little extra cord at the back? The two top straps seem very secure, not sure what to do with mine.
-
• #371
@youramericanlover hey, the cord at the back is to loop around head tube or stem/spacers to stop the bag swinging/ make it more secure, if that is an issue. If its secure enough already with just the straps then no need to use it.

Like you I've deemed it surplus to requirements, the two straps have been totally secure even fully loaded with snacks/tools/crap/phone. I bundled up the cord small, bound it together with a rubber band and left it in the bottom of the bag, will inevitably be handy at some point for tying something together... maybe!
