We have been studying this shit for the last few days.
We were due to go to France next week with parents in law and brother in law and his family. But for brother in law having to return and isolate for 10 days for a 6 day holiday was not workable.
We then investigated holidays just for us and looked at Portugal which was all fine. Until my other half got interested in travelling to Corsica. I didn’t make the connection that it is a French territory so comes under amber plus. The week after our proposed trip I am meant to be working in Cardiff but can’t if I have to isolate. Wife needs a holiday - been working v v hard and it’s been over two years since she had more than a couple of days off work.
Thankfully my employer can find someone to cover me if I do need to isolate upon return but all the noise in the news is that France’s “amber plus” status is going to be reduced to normal amber.
