    It's on the following rider to shout "hold" before the gap grows too big, and the front rider to adjust. Hard to do & be heard when going full pelt. Pretty sure we can hear rider 2 (Laura Kenny?) shout hold here at about 2m32s of the video (3m30 into their round 1 ride) the gap appears about a lap and a half after as the effort blew the line apart.

    Edit: Coach can only communicate to the team appx every 15s and can at best get 1 syllable across, which is why they "walk the line" as non-verbal feedback.

  • Thanks for that. I still think though that there should be a way ti communicate the calamity of the forming gap in TP, be it verbal or non-verbal. It rarely happens to the bigger (more experienced) teams, but when there is one riders stronger than the rest. My experience in TP is very limited (never in competition), but with a coach (and empty velodrome) it should be possible to warn the team with some kind of signal imo. Very easy to say from behind the tele though :)
