How did you get on transporting it, strapped to the fork leg?

Nice. Much rain? Ours is headed to the overland track in a few months.

Rained overnight twice I think. Quite a lot both times, first night we didn't hook the outer into the cross pole properly (midges and rain when pitching) so the outer touched at one point but it was fine. It wasn't raining when we packed up so took the inner down first and then gave the outer a good shake while still pitched. No issues the next day when it rained again overnight.

Yeah, I had 2 x 5L sea to summit dry bags.
Outer and Inner (in seperate dry sacks) and pegs in one.
Sleeping bag, footprint and decathlon matt in the other.
Poles on a Jack The Rack I was borrowing/testing.

Some of the fork mount bosses came loose, but I think that was a manufacturing fault as there wasn't much weight on either side.

What fork did this happen on? Exact same thing happened on my brother carbon gravel wank fork. I'm sure when I finally pull my finger out and take it to one of there local dealers in mcr they'll agree with me it's a design fault. Think the max I had on each bag was 2kg.

The fork on a Carbonda 696. Also happened to my friend's bomtrack.

Sigma Sports says in stock in 9-10 working days, so maybe there's a batch arriving in the UK soon?

After finding some woods that fall inside the wild camp zone for Dartmoor, we are going to give hammock camping another go.

I've dug out the Hennessey hammock for my partner to use, and set out about paring down the weight.
First thing to go are the original original suspension ropes, which weigh nearly 400g, amazing how things move on in 15 years.

the ropes that came with my HH were ridiculously bulky compared to the tree straps and whoopie slings I replaced them with.

Either this was a mistake or they sold out their stock in an hour....Did you get one?

Yeah I just got a despatch confirmation, so they must have sold out rapid time. Kinda mad as I just searched on a whim!

Strange, I only discovered that website myself last night as it was the cheapest for the sleeping bag I was after.

I was in the market for one of these, but ended up going for the Terra Nova Starlite 2, which I found for £450 here using the 10% off code. Also seems well suited for bikepacking with 29cm pole length, and a UK based spares + repairs service might be handy in the future.

Not perfect hangs because I forgot to pick up both sets of whoopie slings. But was pretty great for an afternoon snooze. Need to sort under quilts before it's warm enough for her to spend a night in.

The 1 and 2 person options are so close in pack size, weight & price, I'd consider getting the 2 person for the extra luxury. On paper the 2 person is only ~200g heavier, 3cm diameter bigger and same width packed. It's a great tent.

I only have one underquilt so when I've camped with the GF she gets the top & under quilts in my warbonnet blackbird and I make do with a sleeping bag and a wool picnic blanket stuffed into the lining on my HH explorer deluxe.

If I'm camping in bad weather there's zero chance she's agreed to come so I'd have my proper kit so it works out well enough.

I did make an underquilt using this site from costco down blankets but the suspension never really worked for me on my HH.

Yeah you're right, I've gone back n forth a few times. Probably grab which ever is available tbh. Got a stock notification from LD Mountain Centre but, again, it was still out of stock :/

I wasn't super bothered about that - I'm only planning in using it in the UK where I've never needed freestanding.
