Just not a fully front on photo.
Yeah, that’s just sloppy photography IMO.

Wasnt the track version asymmetrical?
No. The Felt TA FRD is, and more by accident than design so was the OG Lotus

I want one even though it’s garish. Carapaz Olympic paint.

You can have one when you win gold.

I love weird futurist bikes.
Are there many around these days still or were they all scrapped years ago? Rare as hens teeth or just unwanted?
I want to feel like I’m on a trip to Venus riding to the shops... -

I got chatting to a guy who had something similar years ago. Apparently him and his mates all made them after they lost their driving licenses for driving pissed.

I know traffic policing hardly exists any more, but going for something that's an instant stop if you encounter the fuzz doesn't seem like the wisest of choices...

I thought the UK had some crazy lax rules about self-built vehicles...

If that thing has a 50cc engine it might not require much* to pass a MSVA. It'll still look dodgy and attract a lot of unwanted attention I'd have thought.
*if you're prepared to throw a bit more money at that pile of junk

Based on their inherent rage and proclivity for riding on sidewalks, that’s the same story I attach to the dickwads that have those conversions around here.

It is an 80cc bicycle engine kit one can find new on eBay for £75 mated to an old bike. That might be fun project to build, but I would rather explore e-bike conversions that are legal to ride on the road.

That might be nice to explore. According to some of the ebike building youtubers it can be easier to pass a MSVA by converting an old moped that has already been registered at some point than building an e moped from scratch.
I don't know a lot of the legal stuff around it so "a youtuber said it" might not check out

The vast majority of ebike conversions I see are also illegal 😆
But yeah same.

This video on the subject is interesting:

Don't think I could build something so complex up only to be limited to 4KW

There seems to be a push to explore all the legal grey areas by people like the one in the vid i posted. While the lines are blurry people are getting away with all sorts of machines. And e scooters are 1 A distraction from that and 2 also pushing the laws in their own way.

I'm betting someone in the motorcycle thread has a better understanding of all this
I'd imagine the seatpost is in line with the headtube though. Just not a fully front on photo.
