Then you might want to match the old model/brand. Not all locks are as well made as others. I wouldn't be surprised if a cheap lock has poor tolerances which makes it easier to pick/bypaas (if you care about that) and also more likely to stick when being used.
I don't really understand the disc requirement which seems to imply more than a passing thought for security and then buying something random from eBay for not much money.
