Sexeh
But I think I'll wait until these sculpted aerobars are more common and buy an old set instead of paying RRP

Interesting that the Danes don't have a full disc chainring but normal 5-arm cranks!
-

Ha, I can see the danish team pursuit team is using some other handle bar (aerocoach or wattshop...)

What extensions are the Aussies using? Definitely not one for the A31 if they can't even survive on the track 😉

Looks more like a steerer issue. Who's bikes are they riding again?
(I'm still catching up with the BMX, I should stop reading this) -

Who's bikes are they riding again?
Argon 18, same as the Danes. I think the separation occurred at the bar/stem connection.

Overzealous mechanic, damaged in transit to Japan, crashed, manufacturing fault?
-
• #2684
Those will be the questions they are asking themselves

Seems to be a Bastion printed titanium part ->https://www.cyclingweekly.com/products/snapped-australian-handlebar-was-produced-by-bastion-and-has-been-removed-from-website-source-claims

Awkward. Pretty shit having your Olympics fucked by a mechanical but you gotta risk it for a biscuit as a great man once said.
In related news, my on again, off again relationship with my front derailler aka chain dropper stopper took a turn when the little bastard was finally left off for the Nat 12 after being fitted and removed about 5 times.
No chain drops during the race (presumably because I wasn't actually going fast enough to get near gears that might throw the chain)

I'm sure this was mentioned elsewhere but I'm not sure if there was all the aero shizzle

I think it's great there was no power data involved in either the effort or analysis.
I listened to an interview after where he mentions doing heavy squats up until the day before. Sunk in how big a sprint effort the pursuit really is now

great there was no power data involved
I'm sure they would have collected data if they could, but their new crank doesn't have it yet. As a matter of regulation the rider is not allowed to see the numbers while riding, and for reasons they might not want to publish it, but they would still want the data for analysis in order to judge what they need to do if they want to get the record back after Ganna does a 3:57 at sea level in the World Championship next month 😀

You mean the analysis where they spent time reverse calculating the watts he would have used?
I’m sure they would have preferred to have the data. -

Anyone want a wind tunnel? I know I do.

A friend of mine nearly bought a second-hand wind tunnel from Cranfield. But in the end he ended buying a third EMC chamber instead. Not much use to me.

I still haven’t figured out how to fire my one up. So. Many. Interlocks. And then it’s a matter of how I sneak it on without the main building noticing 250kW of motors kicking in.
I’m working on it…

Let me know when you've got it sorted...

Mad that Joss Lowdens extensions are fully higher than her saddle and she isn't short. TT positions have changed so much!
-
• #2696
So narrow though. Didn't she already unofficially/casually break the womens hour record in her practice run recently ?
-
• #2697
It was actually back in February but yeah, she did

Projected average speed just tipped over 48kms.
(Misunderstood; thought the projection was distance). -

Track wheel question, riding in the Track league on the Lea Valley Velodrome - Will there be a noticeable difference between the following, both in handling and speed/aeros:
- HED3 with 20mm GP Supersonic, latex tube.
- 60mm deep Chinese carbon, V-shaped profile with 20 round spokes, 22mm Challange Chrono
tubular, comes up wider than the rim.
- HED3 with 20mm GP Supersonic, latex tube.
