The rain eventually stopped today, so went out on Winston bike for the initial shakedown ride.
Just a short bimble (about 15 miles), the soundtrack to my ride was the gentle hum of Pasela on broken tarmac (and when I stopped pedalling, the angry wasp overture of a Hope rear hub).
Things to change? Very little, cosmetically (and so the Genesis is just a wheel/tyre swap from being rideable) a Ritchey stem to go with the bars, probably a C220 or Toyon, a more subtle (less logoed) seatpost, Pro PLT maybe, and that's about it.
Rather enjoying the splash of colour that Spesh Roubaix bartape brings to the party. On the subject of bartape, I really cannot recommend Arundel Gecko, considering it had been on less than 12 hours (gave it a whirl to get me to the lbs) I would have expected the backing tape to have stayed on, but in places it stayed on my bars, and where it overlapped the layer below, it ripped the bartape, lesson learned, stick with what you know/like (no matter the colour).
