I deleted my Facebook account about 3 years ago after numerous attempts to reduce the time I wasted with it. Tough decision and I’ve lost touch with a handful of people as a result. Also lost access to some niche hobbies which no longer have forums and are now only on Facebook groups, mostly old car stuff. The hardest bit was waiting the 31 days for my account to actually delete. Once that was done, it was a lot easier. I do recommend it.
Luckily, I never ‘got’ Twitter so I’ve never used it. Agree with the above that it’s a toxic place. IG and Tik Tok are a bit after my time so I’ve never used them.
