Will probably be selling fairly soon my Legacy 3.0R spec b, in case anyone is interested in that sort of car (estate auto silver).
Q - when buying a SORN car, is it quick and simple to retax and get the car back on the road?
-
• #65854
No idea. Just saw the car while searching for estates.

RE Sorn Yes just tax it.

Ah have used those multi tools with the scraper setting and the paint remover flap wheels.
Not used aquasteel so no opinion. But found the bilt stuff brilliant and from Essex.

Is that the 4 motion/big engine version?
-
• #65873
No, 150bhp four cylinder, FWD. 400 horsepower fewer than the vehicle I turned up in, and half the number of cylinders and turbo chargers.
It was, however, still quite fun- literally an armchair, up high, radar cruise is fantastic and CarPlay is handy.

Getting back into a normal car after a week in one of those felt very strange. Made my boring estate feel like a race car.

No 5 cylinder anymore? Always make such a good sound. Campers aren't meant to be quick though I guess, just easy and a good view ahead (Hymer's always have a ridiculous front screen/view).
In no particular order:
Scraper blade, heat gun, screwdriver, steel brush and a load of elbow grease.
I’ve been using this stuff which seems to be halting further rot:

Then some of this after aluminium mesh and metal epoxy resin has been applied and dried

Long term option = new sills and boot
