The sports director of the German Cycling Union shouted “Get the camel drivers” at his rider, Nikias Arndt, when he was chasing down times set by Ethiopia’s Amanuel Ghebreigzabhier and Algeria’s Azzedine Lagab. Moster says he used the words in the “heat of the moment” and has apologised.
