We've got two EO Mini's.

They work fine but were a complete PITA to get working together (without tripping the house). Wouldn't recommend them based on their customer service. Product itself (now installed correctly) is good though and they look nice and neat.

We've gone one tethered (in a garage) and one untethered (outside of garage). I prefer the tethered one as the Tesla recommends it being constantly plugged in. The Zoe only requires being plugged in to charge and it's really not a hassle to go untethered.

I've got the Model 3 Long Range AWD.

I would say there are really only some minor things I would want improved:

1. Road noise could be reduced - this is noticeably higher than my previous car but that was a Range Rover so ymmv depending on what you're coming from. Sound deadening is reduced in most EVs to save weight. The recent Model 3s do have laminated / double glazed front side windows which helps
   
2. I would like Apple CarPlay rather than just what Tesla offer but, having said that, it's by far the most useable, stable and fast in car system I've used
   
3. There are a couple of minor rattles / squeaks from interior panels that are starting to get on my tits. They're common issues with all Tesla's so there's plenty of online hints / tips for the main ones, I just haven't gotten around to trying any
   
   

That's it for me. It drives incredibly well, the range is excellent and it's fucking quick. The frunk / under trunk storage also make it surprisingly capable in terms of storage too.

I think if I was buying now I'd really have to consider the Ioniq 5. That being said- to echo @Soul- the thing is just effortlessly good to drive and own. Annoyingly so. To the point when you look at other devices in your life you wonder- how the shit have they screwed up the UI on this so badly?

The number of times I ask it to play something like Basement Jaxx music and it responds with some Hungarian Christmas track is doing my head in.

At this point I want a way to alias "for fucks sake Google!" to "stop playing music and forget the last thing I said".

7.5 hours of driving today and I feel fresh as a daisy.

To be fair I sat behind a lorry at 55mph on auto cruise control from Telford to the M25, listening to a Sci-Fi novel. Quick it ain't, but it is certainly stress free.

yup - did nine hours to the arse end of bristol and back last saturday, complete with a tiny dog in the rear for the return trip. even the cunt-ridden london traffic which accounted for the last hour and a half was mostly tolerable.

Oh and another upside of the lorry drafting technique. I got 5.3 mi/kWh for the 170 mile journey from Attingham Park near Shrewsbury to home in Herne Hill.

On my 64kW battery that would give me a nominal 339 mile range. On a car that has a quoted WLTP of 282 miles.

Thinking about it, I think that if I had been driving "normally" I would probably have stopped for a break and a quick charge top up. Which would have negated any time savings of driving faster.

If not a stupid question - does it still feel like you're driving? Are you more inclined to lose concentration etc?

Personally, if anything, it makes me concentrate more on situational awareness. You're not busy on micro adjustments of speed, steering but looking at the road ahead, your mirrors etc.

Long journeys using adaptive cruise + lane keep are much less tiring.

Worth noting that Tesla's driven with Autopilot engaged (just their fancy name for adaptive cruise with steering) experience one crash in every 4.19 million miles in the US. On average, other cars experience a crash in every 484k miles.

The waymo full autonomous cars have an even more impressive figure.

I once drove a 7.5 tonne lorry that was limited to 55mph from tulse hill to Newcastle upon Tyne, one of the longest and most boring days of my life!

It feels like a continuation of the progression from being a new driver, worrying about how to make the car move, to being an experienced driver.

Not worrying about low level velocity and course corrections allows me to concentrate on what's actually happening more.

Yeah, I'm not sure it would work if I wasn't on my own, listening to a book that I wanted to listen to and music that I wanted to listen to.

Also, I have strong bladder control. My OH and kids, not so much.

I would also point out that, for journies where charge is not an issue, blatting along at 98mph in the middle of the night on empty motorways is also a rewarding way of covering distance.

Just blatted the leaf at max velocity and the charger lid popped up! Hinges seem fairly sturdy so popped back with no problems.
