The Beach is appealing because it's got car speed limits, and it's fitted out with the creature comforts. Did I mention that I'm old?

What about the imminent T7?
-
• #65829
I just don't know when the Beach Camper T7 would be released?
-

Might be a while judging by this article actually...
While the T7 Multivan offers improved passenger carrying ability, it's not currently slated to form the basis for a new range of California campers - these will continue to be based on the T6.1 Transporter van.

I bet you could build your own transporter based camper to a higher spec than vw build a California

My dad had one for a few years, fast, noisy and so expensive to service. He sold it to a guy in Dunfermline, who on his test drive basically V maxed it. Easy 150mph. Terrifying but he did buy it.

Yes indeed, did you go?

The long nose is because the engine is in-line not transverse, it really was quite a piece of engineering but so ugly.
Mine held its own but there was such an array of quite special cars. -

No I’d thought about it but had other things going on at home. D rally is coming up but I’ve decided to spend the weekend stripping off as much underseal of the DS as possible...
I’ve done quite a bit so far but suffice to say there’s some nasties being discovered 😱
But had a welcome visitor

What are you using to remove the underseal?
Oh and I recommend this stuff as a rust converter https://bilthamber.com/product/hydrate-80/ and then a cold galvanizing paint (high zinc content paint) or this https://bilthamber.com/product/epoxy-mastic/
Surely an LWB T6 panel van for the trail centre car parks?
