Bit of both. Big nations have full time 7s programs who play the World Series. But some also add in a few big name stars from 15 a side like Semi Radrada for Fiji. If people don’t know who he is check him out, one of the finest physical specimens you can ever see. Some also do a bit of both, I assume because they don’t make much doing 7s so need a cash boost and I guess get some fitness.
Amazingly after silver in Rio GB pulled funding for their 7s team and they all had to get jobs or 15 contracts

Rugby 7s... Are these chaps professionals in "standard" rugby or is it much more specialist? It looks fucking brutal, like playing five-a-side football on a regulation pitch.
