Cool, thanks. Will get a roadlink yeah.

I wouldn't go to midfoot unless you need to (having issues right now).
Changing stuff is asking for issues. But I'm sure the fitter wouldn't suggest it unless needed due to issues.Hippy only did it because he has achilles issues.

His argument is that Achilles issues don't really manifest until you've already done 6 days at 300km each day, that's why most people don't think about it until it happens.
I'm fairly sure I'm not gonna switch to midfoot anyway - I've got size 12 feet and already have some toe overlap issues.

He does have a point there.
But if you look at the number of achilles issues in ultra stuff it's not many. And the number of midfoots is probably countable on one had.
The main issue is knees. Good fit and good spinny gears.

Got the spinny gears sorted. Hopefully the bike fit will prevent other issues.
Speaking of other issues - had a sore wrist for a while now and put it down to using different sized hoods on new bike. Discovered a lump on my wrist that only appears when I bend it downwards. Google is telling me it's a ganglion cyst, but got the doctors tomorrow. Lets hope it's nothing serious!

Update - 6 hours of bike fit today.
Fitted speedplays with really far back cleats and shims, though not quite midfoot.. Another 10mm spacer under the stem, put the saddle back and got super comfortable (but still relatively aero) in the aero bars.
Played around with crank length and found that 170mm delivered best l/r power output and torque angle, so on the hunt for some 170mm Praxis Zayante crank arms.
Really satisfied with Garry Kirk and the bike fit. Would thoroughly recommend.

Got a trip to go see Garry soon. Johnny from Velvet Bikes up in Turiff recommended him. Good to hear a second vote of confidence.
I used Edinburgh bike fit before, but got very little out of the session unfortunately.

Aye he's absolutely worth it. Already feel better on the bike.

Just read through this whole thread while on an Albannach research mission so sorry to drag it up after 4 years but whats the updates? Still riding her?
Looking at going down the Torragar route for a fast all road touring set up.

Definitely rate the bike. Not riding so much but that's much more to do with having had two kids since I bought the bike, haha. Think I've done close to 10,000km on it though, great bike.

Strikes me as a bit of a bike for life. So worth the investment.
Reckon I could see it replacing 3 of my current bikes potentially (Gravel/Touring/Winter Roadie)
How did you come to the geo options? Safe to say im not a frame geo expert. Is it a case of their expertise and looking at what you've ridden before?
Somewhere between my Nukeproof Digger and my Giant TCR would probably work....

No worries ol' chap. All worked out in the end :)
Yup, that's the one. Do you have the wolftooth roadlink also?
