Kawasaki ZZR1400 might be worth looking at. A friend has one and loves it. Apparently it can go very very fast.
The Pan European is a great option though, kind of falls between the BMW RT and K. Both the BMWs are heavy and you notice it manoeuvring them when parking etc. especially with a pillion on board. The ST1300, RT and K are all bikes I would look at if I needed a comfy pillion seat.
