I see it in races all the time. But not Olympic races when you have massive teams of people sorting shit out for you. Complacency from the strongest nation perhaps? Again, very much echoes what Dan Bigham's book is all about.

Fuck that's harsh... hope that guy's okay. Poor Niek, he's a real sympathetic and intelligent fellow. Fingers crossed his knee still function appropriately for the race.
