Richard Palmer at Berkshire Campers in Hurst is your man. Super nice guy, really good quality work and reasonable price. Only problem is he will have a looong waiting list.

This one is mine. A '96 former taxi with almost 600k km's. It's not much but it's more comfortable and only a slightly slower than a tent.

How much are you asking, if that's something you can share?

I’m thinking £7,250 (if it sells via here I’ll also give a forum donation, although that wasn’t the plan in posting it as I’m in deepest Devon ).

Any love for chevy conversion vans? There are a few for sale near me and I love the look but not sure how good they are/ fuel economy etc. The idea would be to have it as a 2nd car and use it as an occasional overnighter. The appeal to me is 7 seats and space to throw a mattress in the back. Any thoughts?

Don’t want to put the dampers on the lifestyle of you lovely people ( heaven only knows how many times I have been tempted to buy a dub bus) but just thought I would give a heads up on what’s going on down here in the far south-west of the UK.
I have some (homeowner) mates who have a Renault traffic conversion and are in the process of kitting out a live-in horse box for weekend outings. They have lived here all their lives and their local knowledge is vast but recently have seen a rapid reduction in the number of potential overnight locations. It seems like there is a sudden increased effort to narrow, height reduce, gate or berm access to a large number of pull-in areas. Up too is the number of patrols of officers moving people on.
In short, if you are looking to wild camp your camper down here, forget it. -

Yeah there's been a bit of a clampdown it seems, partly due to lockdown cunts leaving all their shit behind

Yup cheap tent festival mentality, leave it all behind. It's happening all over in Scotland too, possibly more so as wild camping is actually legal here

Not seeing this much in Somerset, (right on the border with Devon) but the m5 is absolutely rammed with holiday makers like I have never seen before, I can’t imagine what it’s like further south!

My parents had a week in Cornwall 2 weeks ago and on the way back there was a crash on A30 and it took them 9hrs to get back to Bristol!!!

That’s mad.
Too many people hiring vans, far bigger than they have ever driven, tonnes of people frustrated with covid life etc and just poor driving.
I swapped working Friday for Thursdays to avoid Friday traffic

Not sure what the point of buying into Van Life is if you’re just going to bugger off to Cornwall.

Surfing, lots of nice spots to park up near the coast, or Bodmin etc for hiking. Cornwall is a lovely place mostly if you avoid the bigger / popular spots.
Tbh I'd rather have 1000 campers than 1 caravan on those roads.

Yeah there's been a bit of a clampdown it seems.
The changes in the law doesn’t help either

Is there a camper/caravan bits showroom/warehouse/chandlery type place in the vague vicinity of London?
Got any pics of the interior?
