  • Is it? She's not in a trade team so presumably buys whatever she needs.

ie. I've got Cannondale cranks with D2Z ring in a Shiv with DA RD and CeramicSpeed cage. The Mason has Quarq cranks with a PraxisWorks inner and a FSA outer ring with Shimano road groupset but Shimano MTB cassette.

Seriously? I hope she gets a nice deal out of this. This is the sort of story that makes me put my scepticism of the Olympics to one side.

  • Kiesenhofer, Cambridge graduate with a double degree and a PhD in mathematics, she’s gonna be alright whatever happens.
She might even get picked up by the Dutch support team as it’s guaranteed she can count to 5 then take one away at a time to to know how many are left up the road.

  • She's 30 and used to be pro. I looked at wiki and I think it said last rode for a team in 2017. Flying under the radar almost certainly helped her win so I'm not sure she'd get signed on the basis of the win alone. They failed to count the riders off the front and they underestimated how well they rode. Still a great win for her.

"It was a subdued one arm celebration from Watt as she crossed the line, 20 seconds ahead of Longo who celebrated what she believed was the victory."
