I’ve always thought Bastions are ugly as hell. Do t really know what it is about the look of them I dislike, but I have never been a fan.
Bastion Advanced however, the side company that just does Ti 3D printing for other smaller companies that don’t have their own additive manufacturing facilities (Sturdy/Tsubasa etc), is doing some pretty sick stuff. So seems they are able to make cool shit, but only when it’s been designed by another company!

There’s a very clear siren call to people with bad taste on the website.
https://www.bastioncycles.com/models/demon/
The Demon Project frames come with all the extras included. Polished lugs with Candy colours? Gold leaf inlays? Chrome Logos? There is no limit. You imagine it, we create it.
Also a very arbitrary limit of one customer per country ‘to ensure exclusivity’.

It all sounds great on their website but since I’ve watched a few videos around titanium bikes and specific modulus, I think it’s probably bunkum and I’ll save £13k by getting the Canyon.

The Vitus is cool, pity about NDS pic.
Dunno about that lever position though, together with the seat clamped on the back of its rails, I'd feel like I was falling off the front of the thing.

Not a fan of flats on drops.
Plus the frame is so noodley there is no point in having the hoods for climbing.

Pretty hard to support stable hips with your hands draped like, or get your head down to be fast. Under-use of your glutes likely #internetbikefit
It’s in the right thread ;-)

"oi, stop trying to nick my bars"
"i'm not, just adjusting them properly"

I enjoyed someone derailing a recent sale thread for an R5 by slagging off the geo.

Trek did a 2 tier system for MAMILs and racers but I guess that didn't work out. A shame, massive headtubes with super aggressive cockpits look at odds but that's where are we going

Is the wildebeast look.

The Wiggle/Chainreaction own brand have a traditional low-enough front end. I’d buy one of those in a flash if I was spunking 4k in the direction of a road bike.

I think the latest Edmonda is pretty trad. Ugly, shit paint, mediocre build, expensive and a Trek. But trad geo.
