I'm sure I've heard of at least half a dozen crashes like this in Regent's Park. Crashing into parked cars is very rare elsewhere in the world. Is this people in pacelines swinging around parked cars too late and/or not giving proper signals?
Whatever, hope the rider isn't too badly injured and back on the bike soon.

That's a possibility, there was also a large builders type truck going the other way which had swung out onto the wrong side of the road in order to take a left turn which may have caused a distraction.
No use in guessing though I suppose
Hope he's recovering well now -

If you’re riding in the gutter CCW the curvature means you can only see a very short distance ahead. If you’re riding fast that means not much time.
Doesn’t take much of a lapse in concentration for the worst to happen.
(Also crashing into parked cars is fairly common, by cyclists and drivers alike)

Thanks for the info. I can imagine people new to RPOC being caught out by that.
