Yeh is proper sad, not sure what else they could do, cancelling again just wasn't feasible but makes for a really odd games

I wonder how much of a difference it makes to the athletes to have a mostly silent empty stadium rather than a capacity crowd cheering you on in the events?
I just finished reading Victoria Pendleton's book, and she made a lot of references to hearing the crowd during the track events, both positively and negatively IIRC.

Lack of fans next to a road for the cycling is one thing but it's even more pronounced for the things in stadiums the gymnastics on now. Sad.
