So why not just wear them out and worry about it later, or are they that bad at road holding?

I’d probably only find out how shit they were during evasive manoeuvres or emergency braking, neither of which seem like the ideal time to test their limits.

£200 for peace of mind and slightly improved mileage/handling seems like a fair cop.
