  • Loving the MegaQuartz... Sure STS or Simon Freese will get that looking and working as good if not better than new...

Probably a stupid comment, but they do chew through batteries in MegaQuick time....

  • Too hot for the leather strapped watch at the moment

  • My favourite watch lately.

By the way, if anyone’s looking for a mint, hesalite Speedmaster (the discontinued one) - let me know.

  • @hugo7 I'm selling a casioak if you're interested (£60 - basically unworn with all packaging etc - it's the stealth one)

My timepiece of choice today - i can heartily recommend this padded tropic strap from watchgecko by the way:

  • Good luck. If I were interviewing you and you walked in wearing a sweet Datejust like that we’d probably spend the whole time talking about watches.

  • Anyone selling a gshock?

I would have said yeah, but I’ve put this on this morning and am really enjoying it now.

  • I've been dabbling in modding old Seiko's again. This one is from the lates 70's with a 7025 movement bought on here from @Sumo. New crystal and switched the dial and hands for a more military style look.

  • That looks great! Like a whole different watch.

  • that is really cool

  • Tbh most of the time I don't set the date function on automatic watches. Sometimes I can't even be bothered setting the time... Lazy

  • Back with old favourite after all the recent mixing it up .
And going for second legible photo in a row .

  • Only to fail again.
Maybe I should stop drinking at breakfast time.........

  • Most of it is in focus - that's all I can say about that photo.

Why do you have lightbulbs from the 1940s in your shop? Is there anywhere outside you could snap a quick photo?

  • They are state of the art LED .
But you know I hadn't though of that.

  • This looks great! I'm wearing my Helson a lot this summer but it doesn't look anywhere like this... maybe I should go to the beach more often haha

  • Phone cameras struggle to focus too close, best to hold it further away and crop

  • They are state of the art LED

I assume they were designed specifically to give off the glow of a single candle across the other side of the room.

If you're able to change the temperature of them, try changing to 4000K or 5000K as it's more like daylight.

  • They are better in real life .
And there are loads of them .
I think the problem may stem , as we have previously established, with ineptitude and a steam powered iPhone 6 .
Hey it usually gives people two things to discuss . The semi blurred but lovely timepiece , and the hysterically bad photographic representation of it.
    Won’t give up tho.
And I swear they didn’t use to be this bad .
