And he's good friends with Jay Rayner? Not sure he's thought that through. I like Rayner's writing, even if he's talking about meat - would like to think he's not so much of a twat. Mind you, thought Coren used to be good in that historical food programme with Sue Perkins back in the day.
I'm sure it's just a coincidence that the trio of expensively educated good friends - Giles Coren, Jay Rayner and Henry Dimbleby - all had famous and influential parents in the media. They achieved the heady heights of reviewing restaurants and telling working class people what to eat on talent alone.
