What a lovely transformation!
My garden is far, far worse. We're talking chest height weeds completely filling a relatively small plot. I'm also renting so I don't want to invest too much in the garden - I'm mainly looking for advice on suppressing weeds.
Would buying a pitchfork and turning all the soil do anything? It's quite hot at the moment so I thought it might be good to expose the roots of all the weeds.

I've moved into a new flat here in Edinburgh and I have access to a garden again, which I want to make use of while the sun's out here.
It was completely choked with weeds. I spent an hour in it yesterday clearing out the worst offenders and revealing some of the ground.
Can anyone suggest any guides/youtube tutorials on how to reclaim/maintain gardens which have been abandoned? I know everything I cut back will grown back in soon, so I want to try to tame it while I have the chance.
