Because they overwhelmingly won in the last election. I don't like it either, but it's as much an indictment of the general population of the UK as it is of the morally bankrupt nonentities currently governing the country.

I get that. I'm just astonished that so many people can't see them for what they are. We've had a Conservative government for 11 years now, yet still a large swathe of the population can't seem to connect the situation we're in with the policies they have.
