Buddy of mine cancelled some plans we had this monday just gone as his partner had lost her sense of taste and smell and was waiting on a pcr result. but was supremely confident that it was something else as her lat flow test was negative and her PT who they think she caught it off (exact same symptoms) had tested negative for both lat flow and pcr. her test came back positive, so they were right to isolate but that PT has probably seen dozens of clients.
my pal has been doing regular lat flow tests while isolating and all were negative, pcr test for him comes back yesterday... also positive.
seems like any situation relying on the lat flow tests may as well be pissing in the wind in terms of prevention of spread (I know it's better than nothing and may catch some cases).
