Claimed science is a bit strong! I’d be happy with strong hunch from armchair comfort.
There is a lot out there on gearing/cadence/torque/power. The way he climbs does not align with the modern coaching I’ve seen. This paper is cited.
Not talking about one-size-fits-all, rather what is optimal against competition.
What is the claimed science behind this? Different riders are comfortable at different cadence, there is no optimal cadence.
