  • Can I get some practical advice for the prevention and cure of saddle sores? types of plasters to use to strap yourself up, lotions and potions, whatever tips you have got?

My friend is signed up for Trans Pyrenees and it's her first ultra, she's been doing lots of long days of training but it's the saddle sores making her think twice about the event.

She's been through lots of saddle trial and error but as we all know the saddle sores get lots of people eventually!

    Thanks in advance.

  • Cleanliness!
I’d suggest changing shorts on very hot days and wet days. Finding chamois cream and post riding cream that suits you.
Bike fit, might not be the saddle per se.

I’m sure there are women specific groups that might be a better source too.

There's literally a book about it (mostly for women). I bought it for my missus.

It's called "Saddle, Sore." by Molly Hurford.
