Because they are awesome .
And you can buy one when you want, and don't have to bring me flowers every day for 3 years whilst waiting for your place on a "list" to come up .

For sure. For me, the ceramic seasmaster is light years ahead of a submariner. The fact it is cheaper and you can actually walk into a shop and buy one just adds to the allure.
