#csb - A couple of years ago I was in Yellowstone with the family. We went for a hike and picnic and lost the path a bit. We could see the road from the top of the hill so took a direct route back down towards it. Halfway we saw a small crowd beginning to gather with binoculars etc. When we finally got down we asked what they were watching and there was a bear with cubs just off to the side of where we had been walking.
Don't stray from the path is our new family motto.
