When I was working in one of the shops in Belfast Zoo as a student, preparing to open in the morning, we got a call saying to lock ourselves into our various cabins as a lynx had escaped, which we did. But one of the 16-yr old girls working in the cafe at the top of the mountain saw the lynx outside, grabbed a mop, strode out and cornered the thing until the zookeepers arrived. I was in awe of her for the rest of the summer.
