There's a chance that the person spamming doesn't know what they're spamming. The text was Korean but the IP address did not suggest that, so I'm not sure the person who wrote it was the person who spammed it.
How do I know it's a person? The email was Gmail and they're actually pretty good at spotting the bots. So my base assumption is that Gmail accounts spamming is more likely to be cheap labour in India, Philippines, etc rather than a bot.

Not bots unfortunately... actual human. Which always makes it harder to programmatically block, but it's still trivial to nuke.
