I'm selling a pair of wheels that would be easily turned into a tracklocross wheelset, if anyone is interested

Ditto, got 32/35 above and they rode beautifully over all sorts (in the dry). I had silly high pressures to avoid biting on the rocks so may think about tubeless for more grip.

Yeah I’m the same, gravelling sk and running 32 front and 35 rear because of the big block fork. Fast tyre that seems solid on road and gravel.

So this is my super cheap steel Forme Atlow. Had it for a few months and last month took it on the badger divide (running fixed 42/20). For a cheap complete it’s been insanely good fun and super reliable so far. Upgraded the wheelset straight away. Deathgrips. Schwalbe land cruiser 700x35 on both (cheap cheerful and good grip).

badger divide (running fixed 42/20).
Woah, big kudos. Bet the descents were a bit mental on that gear.

This looks so good

Yeah, for the most part was amazing. Climbing was fine in that gear fully loaded up to near 12%, and my friends were pushing their bikes at that gradient too. As @yoshy said, tarmac descents in that gear were not so fun. Did unclip and freewheel a couple times but that was sketchy as hell (even with front brake) haha

Thanks dude, was nicely surprised how well it rode on some of the ruff stuff. Silly super wide carbon bars finally paid off!

Where's all the rust? You don't use road salt in the UK?
Always nice with a SAAB

Looks like a lot of fun! Great build!

Old Saabs don't rust. My folks' old beige wonder had over 200k miles on it when they got rid and the seats were the most worn out part.

Anyone got a 130 or worst case 135 tracklocross rear wheel to sell?
Thanks -
• #496
I've used a cog bolted onto the disk rota holes as a 135. You may be able to get the width down with slimmer lock nuts etc. not pretty but does the job

Cheers man
Gravelking sks are really nice tyres I found and good for a 50/50 mix of on/off road.
Not much clearance with the front brake though. Enough, but not for muddy conditions.
