Granted it's a barn find but it's for sale at £1500 with a mix of DA 9000 and 9100, the bloke spent 3 weeks on the thing... seems like a fair price

I think clowns are silly. Like wheels that are 80mm deep

usually agree on proper deep sections looking silly on steel frames, and I also think the same about most relatively modern chainsets (especially shimano's).
However, both together seems to work IMO, they complement each other. I like that build.

Look concept bike.

Silly's good though, right?! ; )
I like the Bianchi (saddle height / angle notwithstanding), Somec would prob look better with 40s.

Not sure.
I think the agricultural farmgate steel is set off beautifully by the linear deep section cyber tron wheels.
IMO.
Edit. Just noticed lack of lugs.

Just finished this build, a 56cm De Rosa Al+ with Athena 11 and Oxic rims, I normally don’t like coloured tape but the saddle looked good so the tape had to match…

That's more than excellent, well done 👏👏👏
Cool black rims btw, hope they stay black for many km's to come! -

Thanks for the recommendation man.
Such a shame about the Sirius bike. was genuinely shocked to see those pictures. I rode on it for a year and my friend for 3 years before me and we never knew :(

This is really great!

THose rims look great. Did they squeal when braking for a bit or are they all good?
-
• #3869
Also, did you buy them as rims or as a complete wheel set?
-
• #3870
Bought as rims from a German eBay seller who’s shop does warranty replacements for DT - some issue with the hub so the rims were going spare… no squeals, feel good under braking with BXP pads… I only wish I’d waited to build them on to some hope hubs but the bitex ones were £40 a pair, again an eBay purchase…
@kjlem cheers!

Is there any difference between the H11 crankset and the standard super record?

That's going well I see. I bet the baby's keeping you from finishing it :)
Funky white flite btw!
Doesn't use a proper stepped ferrule for the gear cable on the chainstay so it's trash.
