  • He's great in Happiness but Dylan Baker's performance maybe even better?

Not one of his more interesting roles but I really like PSH in moneyball.

  • Absolutely, Dylan Baker was great.

Also, for PSH, have we had Twister yet where the legend that is Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt spend there time racing around looking for a plot?

  • The plot is the steak and eggs at Aunt Meg's

  • That and a stiff Bloody Mary is the breakfast of champions

  • Talk to me...

  • Talk to me...

We watched Italy v Spain instead.

    Soon....

  • Just watched 'Wind River'...the trailer doesn't do it justice at all. It's a really good film and well worth watching.

  • ^ Taylor Sheridan who can write

  • It's been on my watchlist for ages but never got round to it. Will have to give it a go soon! I forget that Jeremy Renner is actually in a handful of decent films in between churning out absolute dogshit.

  • "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" - really enjoyed this far more than i expected and yer man De Caprio is very good in it.

  • I actually didn't have the faintest idea who he was. Which helped I think.
I'd only seen him before in some shit TV commercial which gave the impression I was supposed to know who he is.
But he was actually really good in it.

  • I finally got round to watching this tonight. Really good, if not mega uplifting for a Monday night. The Nick Cave/ Warren Ellis score was a nice surprise.

"I actually didn't have the faintest idea who he was. Which helped I think."

Arrival is great and Hurt Locker is worth a watch. Apparently the Bourne films he's in are ok as well. Other than that I only know him for doing endless (presumably dog shit) Marvel films.

  • The new Soderberg film is an interesting little caper. He seems to be making more films since retiring than before.

  • The new Chris Pratt movie is actually pretty good sci-fi. War of Tomorrow or something like that.

  • +1 for Wind River

  • Jeremy Renner is actually in a handful of decent films

    Also decent in The Town

  • Terrible human being though

  • Black Widow is flipping stupid, I really enjoyed it... Had a fair few chuckles in it as well...

    It's really bloody stupid...

  • Has anyone watched?

  • You might remember Sterling Hayden as the police chief who got shot in the throat in The Godfather.

  • Now that you reminded me of it it rings a bell.

  • And the leader of a gang of armed robbers in the very similar films, The Asphalt Jungle and Kubrick's The Killing, great actor IMO.

  • And he was of course the nutty USAF General who started it all off in Dr Strangelove.

  • I don't care if Black Widow was stupid, I loved it. Lots of good representation of women.
