Yukirin

It's just occurred to me that I've not seen a single grasshopper or cricket nymph yet this year. I guess the crap weather has made the eggs hatch late.

@Yukirin I've seen plenty this year, I was taking photos of Dark-bush cricket and Roesel's Bush cricket nymphs only this weekend, though hard to tell relative numbers compared with other years. Hopefully the warm weather this coming week will mean that they'll be more active and visible.

Ah, weird. I'm out by Panshanger Park in Hertford and I normally see them jump in the front garden as I walk out the house, and my back garden isn't exactly kept. But it is a couple of degrees colder than in town out here, I'll probably see loads now by the weekend once it warms.
