It could be classed as serious foul play for a red card.
Can you back this up using the rules of the game? I appreciate that its quite open to interpretation but I would have thought it would be quite hard to justify a shirt pull near the half way line as either denying a clear goal scoring opportunity or as serious foul play.

Quick look at the FA rules say that shirt pulling is only a cardable offence if denying a clear goal scoring opportunity. Probably the same for UEFA?
