I realize my comment may have come across as overly negative.
I was only trying to applaudyour choice and convey my own fondness of flats.

I didn’t take it as negative at all. I have been riding clipless (and clips and straps before that) for the last 15 or so years, so it’s nice to ride on flat pedals for a change.
I’ve been riding in Vans “fixie” shoes I bought years ago. Apparently they have a stiffer sole. It all comes around to fixed gears.

But it was refreshing riding in flats. Might even go down the Radavist approved Teva sandals path come summer!
