Are you passing Bristol/Bath area? If you are I could join you for a few miles if timings are right.

Day 3 done… some heavy rain of course. It seems almost like a tradition now, every time I do a long distance ride, the weather is terrible.

About 25% (400kms) done so far 👍

You should do it in the summer.......!
Pics look great but it must make for miserable riding. Great progress though.

Haha!
Just over a 3rd of the way done (540kms) after 4 days. Bit drier today but still got soaked at the end.

Even managed to drink some whisky last night. Obviously got soaked walking into the distillery 😂

When do you think you will be doing the Portishead leg?

All being well I reckon 5-6 days from now. I do fancy a +200km day as I’ve never done one before but I’d like it to be dry for that. We’re only getting out of Scotland tomorrow.

If it is Sunday there is a slim chance I could join you. I'll keep an eye on progress

Cheers dude!
@eskay I doubt we’ll be near Bristol tomorrow, probably just before. Then Portishead Monday and Land’s End around Wednesday.
That bit from Preston to Liverpool ish yesterday killed me, by far the worst part of the journey… cycling paths, dual carriageways, stopping every 200m… yuckEasy 80km today.

No worries! Enjoy the rest of the ride and take care on those dual carriageways.
Prevailing wind in the UK is a south westerly, so the odds aren't with you I'm afraid :S
Best of luck and look forward to the pics!
