  • That is remarkable. My gf had one single puncture on GP 4S due to a heavily overloaded rear rack (groceries) and low tire pressure on a bumpy path. Other than that ive had zero problems with them and run them on several bikes for many thousand kms all year round on road, gravel and some trails. they shouldn't have survived some of this, but they did.
wet grip is the best out of any road tires i've had.
hm, maybe i've been lucky or there are bad batches of them?

  • I might have just had a bad batch, or been unlucky. It was the best part of ten years ago, so maybe they’ve changed since. Everyone raves about them, that’s why I was so surprised.

  • Yeah, seems quite strange. Granted they don’t roll as good as a race day tyre, but the puncture protection is amazing. I’ve probably done 12,000 miles on them (different tyres of course) and doubt I’ve had more than a handful of punctures.
