He showed a hitherto unseen sign of weakness today, after Ineos had set a hard pace up the climb. He recovered, but it will give the likes of Ineos, Jumbo-Visma and others (EF if they had a team) renewed hope.
Wasn't that just because he didn't have to follow Vingegaard? I thought it was clear that it would all come back together on the descent.
5:30 lead on GC could make the rest rather dull. Sprints aside.
